2020 PGM Highlights

Let it Speak Philly

This year, Movement Day Philadelphia and PGM pivoted to partner with Pulse and Year of the Bible for an online gathering where over 200 registered to focus on the Bible speaking passionately to our city, to bring biblical awareness and perspective into current life events.

On October 26 Walter Wallace was shot by police in West Philadelphia. It was a time of spiritual and social upheaval for our city. Within days PGM initiated a zoom prayer time led by Pastors Alyn Waller, Terry Davis, Bob Oliver and Glenn McDowell in which there was broad participation.

Hope in the Marketplace

PGM co-sponsored Hope in the Marketplace's webinar titled: "Unchanged Hope in a Changing World: Resilience When the Crisis Seems Unending." featuring Dr. J.R. Briggs, the founder of Kairos Partnership.

Philadelphia Gospel Movement and Netzer initiated a series of interactive Zoom panels featuring Christian leaders representing generations, cultures, city and suburbs to unpack ways to build unity among the body of Christ.

One City, One Love

An outdoor prayer event co-sponsored by Movement Day Philadelphia and PGM brought Christians together  from diverse churches to pray over our city and its neighbhorhoods.

Unity Service

New Covenant Church of Philadelphia in partnership with Netzer and PGM hosted a Unity Service bringing together over 30 churches from the Philadelphia region.  We joyfully worshiped, prayed, and declared God's blessings over our city.

Citywide Prayer Response

PGM, in partnership with Jamie Fitt and other city leaders, initiated a series of city wide prayer calls across networks.
