Prayer Service at Mt. Airy Church of God in Christ

Philadelphia Gospel Movement is seeking to advance oneness among churches in Greater Philadelphia in alignment with Jesus’ prayer that we might be one, that the world might believe. Given the deep divisions in our nation, now is the time for the Church to demonstrate the oneness we have in Christ across political, ethnic, socio-economic, generational and city/suburbs lines. We can advance the gospel more effectively together than apart.

I AM for Philly is the marketplace arm of the Philadelphia Gospel Movement.

As a leader, you shape the business, its culture, the development of its people, its reputation, and what it gives back. Your influence has far-reaching impact!

I AM for Philly is where marketplace leaders will unite to share God stories, pray for God's provision and direction, and initiate/engage in the hope-instilling work of the Philadelphia Gospel Movement.

Our guest speaker is Hal Gilham, CEO of Productive Plastics. He will be sharing his testimony & business philosophy - before and after Christ.  God has done and is doing great things as His name is being lifted up and magnified through this business. The Inquirer recently covered how he integrates his faith into his business.

I AM for Philly aims to bridge divides and address the greatest needs of our city in the name of Jesus!  Can you see it?  Look closely and you'll get a glimpse of the people of Philadelphia healing, growing, and hoping in the name of Christ.  Imagine our city approaching the meaning of its name - philos "loving" + adelphos "brother" - the city of brotherly love.

Bridging the Gap – Understanding and Empowering the Next Generation

A common refrain Philadelphia Gospel Movement is hearing is the struggle between older and younger generations in trying to understand each other and work together. The struggle shows up in the church with pastors trying to reach young adults, with parents trying to raise their sons and daughters, and employers’ efforts to recruit and retain talent. The view from millennials is that they often feel regarded as unreliable, unmotivated, or disconnected with church and business. Thus, it is vital for leaders in both age groups to be committed to understanding and empowering younger generations of leaders.

PGM is pleased to host with Liberti Church a free seminar on this pressing topic. The discussion leader is Grant Skeldon, a millennial himself who has become one of the country’s leaders in working with churches and businesses to address this dynamic. (click here to learn more)
