A Milestone for Christian Collaboration
On May 17th, over 80 leaders from Greater Philadelphia from the non-profit, church, marketplace and public sectors gathered for half a day to engage in outcome oriented conversations. The goal was discovering how God might use the Regional Church for the flourishing of Greater Philadelphia spiritually, economically and culturally.
Leaders were intentionally seated at tables of 6 with those from a variety of occupations, ethnicities, and locations in our region. They got to know each other and share their experiences as they wrestled with engaging questions like "What would you say is the greatest opportunity for the church to make a difference in Greater Philadelphia?" and "If you were given a grant of $50,000 how would you spend it?"
Attendees were each given dots to vote for their favorite ideas. Popular topics included regional prayer gatherings, partnering with City government for impact, and helping leaders focus grow in their character.
The leadership of the Philadelphia Gospel Movement is pouring over these ideas and opportunities and will integrate them into an interactive time of learning and connecting at Movement Day Philadelphia on November 8th.
Special thanks to American Bible Society for hosting us with wonderful staffing, food and facility!
